They need you to know their situation. It’s dire. Beyond.
This is what the South Los Angeles Shelter looks like like RIGHT NOW. As well as all the other L.A. City shelters.
Dogs languishing for too long in a tiny cell. In their own shit. With undrinkable green water from a broken plumbing system. There are multiple large dogs in one kennel. And sometimes they end up killing each other.
There are huge animals stuck in tiny crates lining the hallways.
This is what claiming L.A. City as “No Kill” has done.
And by the way, of course they kill.
As soon as a dog is deemed sick or has any behavior, they can and will be killed. But their lost lives won’t count in the shelter reporting. Semantics. Loop holes. Zero transparency within the shelter system perpetuates the crisis of animal overpopulation and neglect. The lack of openness and honesty about the true conditions within these shelters, creates a false narrative that everything is under control and animals are well-cared for.
However, the reality is far from this facade. Gaslighting at it’s finest.
No more lies. We can’t rescue our way out of this.
They need OU!
